66TH AIR FORCE BALL!

This was our 2nd time going to the Air Force Ball. It was the Air Forces 66th Birthday! It was at the Holiday Inn Express. The hotel was really nice about everything. A big room with a dance floor was rented out and it was very enlightening. A POW that was captured and was in a north vietnamese prison camp for eight years said a speech about how important families back hom to soldiers were to the mission and how the air force never gave up on him when he was a prisoner. It was pretty emotional and Ian's eyes lit up at the speech. He had heard him talk at his ALS class but it was nice to be able to hear it myself. We even got pictures with him. We went up to him and thanked him for his service and he grabbed my hand and held it for almost 2 minutes and thanked me for supporting my husband which made me feel so proud to be a military life. After the speech we socialized and met a couple people it was fun. Definitely will go again. Minot's Air Force ball was so awesome! Here are some pictures.

Ian and I are trying to eat a little healthier. I was on pinterest and found a recipe that looked really interesting. I thought we would try it. I made Cauliflower Pizza. It is Cauliflower crust pizza only 150 calories for a 9 X9 pizza! Here is the crust I made from cauliflower.
This is the crust that is made from shredded mozzarella cheese, egg, and spices and then you just flatten it out like a pizza.

This is after the pizza crust has been cooked and the toppings put on and then it goes in the oven for 4 more minutes

This is the finishing pizza
I think he liked it haha funny picture

It was pretty yummy I must say and I was glad because my kitchen was an absolute disaster lol
I just thought this was an adorable picture so I decided to put it on here. This is the night of the opening cermony for the olympics!

Stone Henge, and Bath

I have not wrote a thing in this blog for a long time too long! I am determined to write in it more. I wish I could be the awesome blogger my sister n law kristina is but I dont know if Ill ever be haha. I am going to start the blog from the first two weeks when Ian got back from deployment. The first thing we did was visit one of the Seven wonders of the world. It was amazing, what was it well it was the
Mysterious......

STONE HENGE!

It was so awesome to actually see it. We had heard it was pretty boring and was just a big pile of rocks. I cant believe we waited 2 years to see it. Yes it is but if you really open your mind think of how they were put there the 3 top boulder rocks are called bluestone and they weigh over 10 tons each. How the heck did someone get them on top and on perfect alignment. After 2 hours staring at it and taking pictures we did get kind of tired of it, not to mention it was freezing cold that day! In the middle of MAY too, I am so over the cold weather here sorry venting but it was a gorgeous thing to see here are some pictures we took

this is the head stone where the sunrise and the sunset are perfectly aligned with the tip top of the stone

It was so much fun and our journey did not end we went to one of the biggest english heritage sites the city of BATH!

Lost but never forgotten

POW AND MIA TRIBUTE

So I have made a new blog, new name, new adventures. I am so honored to have this blog be my first one. Tonight when I dropped off Ian at work I drove by our flag spot where retreat happens everyday at 430 PM. I drove by at 1030 PM and my eyes filled up with water as I rolled the window down to see what these servicemen were doing outside by a totempole. Guess what they were doing and what they do every year!! Every year many servicemen volunteer to get the honor to call out names of the prisoners of war and the missing in action servicemen. It goes on for 24 hours which started today at 430 PM. They sit outside and take turns for 24 hours calling out names of our heros. This will go on until tomorrow's retreat at 430 in the afternoon. If they take time out of their sleep after working all day I can certainly stay up to blog about this beautiful event. I love it so much I wish they would say it over the intercom so everyone could hear it. I am going to ask Ian if he wants to do it next year. I would love to volunteer as well. Sometimes I forget what I am apart of but it is things like this that remind me that I a married a hero and give respect and my prayers to the POW's and the MIA's. My heart goes out to the friends and families and I know this event means so much to them. Now every year I will make sure I can listen to the heros that have kept our country safe and also the current and future servicemen that are keeping us safe today.
I DID NOT TAKE A PICTURE YET BUT I WILL TOMORROW, I JUST HAD TO WRITE ABOUT IT TONIGHT!!!
